Fats Waller

A phenomenal musician, Fats Waller was accomplished on piano,
organ, violin, and bass violin. He was also a prolific composer who wrote music
for Broadway shows as well as piano pieces which exploited every device
perfected by the "Harlem Ticklers". He was also an excellent showman and
comedian, talents that sometimes overshadowed his first rate contributions as a
serious jazz artist
This 1995 Classics Records release entitled, "Fats Waller -- 1937 Volume
2," includes a piano solo performance of 'Stardust.' A
Waller rendition of Hoagy's classic is also included on RCA Victor's unique 1960
LP, "The Stardust Road."
